Adaptive Least Mean Square Controller for Power Quality Enhancement in Solar Photovoltaic System

The objective of the proposed work is to develop a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller and inverter by applying adaptive least mean square (LMS) algorithm control total harmonics distortion solar photovoltaic system. advantage LMS given its simplicity reduced required computational time. applied modify Perturb Observe (P&O), MPPT controller. In this controller, used predict power. maximum power point tracking gives better optimal solutions with less steady error 0.7% (6 watts) 0% peak overshot in tradeoff being more settling time at 0.33 s. development law performed using d-q frame theory. This helps reduce number equations build law. load current, grid current voltage are sensed transformed into d q components. extract reference currents and, later, compare them actual currents. result comparison generate switching gate pulses for switches. controllers developed implemented PV system MATLAB Simulink.
